Wine education expert & consultant
Experience: Charlie is the foremost expert on wine education programs and author of Leary's Global Wineology: A Guide to Wine Education, Mentorships, and Scholarships (Hibiscus Panama, S.A., 2022). His book is the only compressive reference on wine studies programs worldwide. Charlie has studied and received wine qualifications from the Wine Scholar Guild, ICEX-OCEX, Euroinnova Business School, Napa Valley Wine Academy, the Rioja Wine Academy, the Aula de Jerez, the Government of Aragon, the Society of Wine Educators, and the University of California at Davis, among others. He has taken classes on wine production, cheese production and sensory analysis through Washington State University, and formerly taught for Tulane University. He is a certified Cava Educator and Expert.
